Why I’m Running

Dear friends,

I am running for California State Senate because now more than ever, we need experienced leadership in Sacramento that will continue to fight for economic justice, working families, and our most vulnerable communities. We have an affordability crisis in California. People are having a hard time making ends meet, paying for gas or putting food on the table. In this pivotal moment for our state, we need bold leadership that can get to work on day one and understands that everyday people aren’t coming from the left or the right, but from the bottom up. I know the struggles of everyday Californians first hand and I know what it takes in Sacramento to push for bold policies. There’s no time to waste, I'm ready to get to work.

California is at a critical crossroads, and we must get back to basics—ensuring that people have access to good-paying jobs, workforce development, affordable housing, and real opportunities to achieve the California Dream.

I have a proven track record of delivering results for my community, and I know what it takes to navigate complex challenges and turn bold ideas into meaningful action. Our state thrives when we invest in economic development that uplifts working people, creates pathways out of poverty, and strengthens our middle class. I am committed to building a future where every Californian has a fair shot at success—where opportunity isn’t limited by zip code, but expanded by smart policies that put people first.

I’m ready to bring my experience, passion, and dedication to the State Senate to continue the fight for a stronger, more equitable California.
